How the love calculator works
Love calculators are a game. Ours turns the letters of the two names into a number from 40 to 99. The same two names, in either order, always give the same result, but the number does not measure anything real.
How to play FLAMES
- Write both names and cross out each letter they share, one for one.
- Count the letters left over.
- Write F-L-A-M-E-S and count around it by that number, crossing out the letter you land on. Start the next count from the following letter.
- Repeat until one letter is left: Friends, Lovers, Affectionate, Marriage, Enemies, or Siblings.
Rules vary a little from playground to playground; this is the most common version.
